Living our values: Democracy, civil rights, and due process

As I write this blog, I bet what’s taxing my mental and emotional bandwidth is something many folks can relate to - worries about the future of our country. At this stressful, unprecedented time in our nation’s history, it can be easy to shut down and get stuck in despair. And as tempting as that may seem, that is precisely what powerful folks want us to do. Recently, these quotes have helped me get unstuck, to find ways to embrace hope and take a step forward.

So while I cannot fix everything, I can do something. I’m using some of the profits from my first quarter to make strategic donations to organizations that are on the front lines of preserving democracy, civil rights, and due process for all people, as guaranteed in our Constitution: the American Civil Liberties Union, the National Immigration Law Center, and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
